What I've noticed is that sometimes when I insert a cartridge, it won't read it. It will say that there is no cartridge in the slot, even when there is. When this happens, I just eject it and reinsert if a few times until it reads it. I tried this with several cartridges, even one that is brand new. Sometimes, it will read it properly over and over until the next time it decides to be finicky.
